This letter is being sent as a personal invitation to a friend for the wedding of their daughter. The time and place of the wedding is included in the letter, as well as a request to extend the invitation to their family, as well as to reply to confirm their attendance.

I am writing you this letter as it gives me the greatest pleasure and honor to invite you to the wedding of our daughter.

The wedding will take place on the 27th of this month, October, 2010 at St Bartholomew’s Church in Bristol, the service beginning at 10.am.

Please can you also extend this invitation to your wife and your son and any other close family who you feel you wish to invite. I sincerely hope that you will be able to join us on this very special occasion.

Lunch will be served after the wedding . Please accept this as  a personal invitation to the wedding, in due course you will receive the official wedding cards.

We are really looking forward to seeing you, please let us know that you will be able to attend this special occasion.
